Portland Baseball Club Camps

Portland Baseball Club and the Mt. Hood Community College coaching staff is offering a 2 day Spring Break Baseball School. The camp will take place at the Portland Baseball Club Indoor Training Facility located at 125 SE Stark St. in Portland at the Coast Auto Supply Building. Our training facility features 6,000 sq ft of training space with turf and matted areas, 2 retractable batting cages, numerous nets and training stations as well as a video training room.

March 24th

10:00 - 11:00am - Infield Play

Proper Fielding Position/Footwork, Charging the Ball, Short Hops, Double Play Turns

11:00 - 11:45am - Outfield Play

Drop Steps, Getting Behind the Ball, Power Step & Throw, Fielding on the Run

12:00 - 1:00pm - Pitching Mechanics

Throwing Mechanics, Windup & Stretch Positions, Maintaining Direction Towards Catcher

1:00 - 2:00pm - Hitting Mechanics

Balanced Stance, Stride/Load/Trigger, Bat Path to the Ball

March 25th

10:00 - 11:00am - Infield Play

Moving Through the Ball, Aggressive Fielding Style, Quick Hands, Square Drill, Double Play Tosses

11:00 - 11:45am - Outfield Play

Drop Steps, Running Form, Catching Ball on Proper Side of Body, Diving

12:00 - 1:00pm - Pitching Mechanics

Developing Powerful Pitching Motion, Utilizing Legs & Tilt to Throw Harder, Grips

1:00 - 2:00pm - Hitting Mechanics

Stride/Load, Proper Trigger & Swing Sequencing, Extension Through Contact, Bunting

Cost

$100 per player. Cost includes both days of instruction. Over 8 total hours of instruction. You can also register for a single day for only $65
