Joe started Portland Baseball Club in 2008 after spending 5 years as the General Manager of NW Star Academy.

Joe has been the head coach for both the PBC 14U and 18U programs. He took over the 18U program in 2011 and led the team to the Babe Ruth World Series and a second place finish. His 14U teams have been one of the top programs in Oregon each year and have developed many outstanding high school players. Joe coordinates the PBC Fall League which has 23 teams in 2012 and is in charge of the day to day operations and instruction at the Portland Baseball Club training facility in Tigard, OR.

As General Manager, NW Star Academy grew exponentially. They formed a very successful Apple Cup Fall League which grew to 24 teams in 2008. They coordinated 3 summer teams at the 14U, 18U, and collegiate levels. The 18U team went on an amazing run in 2008 winning Senior Babe Ruth state, regionals, and the World Series in Newark, Ohio.

Prior to NW Star Academy, Joe completed his BA in Communications at Lewis & Clark College where he was a 3 year starter as a pitcher and middle infielder. Before LC, Joe attended Green River CC in Auburn, WA for one season.

Joe is originally from Seattle, Wa where he attended Mt. Rainier and Tahoma High Schools. Graduating in 2000, Joe had the opportunity to play Senior Babe Ruth and Connie Mack baseball with the Auburn Knights Baseball Club for coach Jim Sugarbaker throughout high school. Off the field, Joe enjoys playing golf and supporting Rip City. Joe and his wife Hillary reside in Sherwood, Oregon.
