Portland Baseball Club is the Oregon's premier 18U baseball organization. Since we began in 2009, our teams have garnered both regional and national attention due to our team philosophies and overall success on the field. Our coaches focus on teaching players the right way to play the game of baseball while preparing them for college baseball. We play an up tempo style of baseball while instructing players on the finer points of the game. Many players today are simply told when to bunt, when to steal, what pitch to throw all the time. We believe that player should understand the game of baseball so they can make those decisions on their own and increase their baseball IQ.
Our 2011 team finished with a 43-13 record winning the Curt Daniels Invitational, Babe Ruth state tournament, Babe Ruth regional tournament, and finishing second at the Babe Ruth World Series in Ephrata, WA.
Historically our on field success includes a 128-39 record in three seasons, two Babe Ruth state championship, two Babe Ruth regional championships, and two Babe Ruth World Series 2nd place finishes. We are also the back to back winners of the ultra competitive Curt Daniels Invitational.
Our players have continued their playing careers at some of the top college programs in the country and numerous have been drafted by MLB teams. We currently have players at Oregon State University, University of Oregon, Arizona State University, University of Portland, Washington State University, Cornell University, Chico State University, Redland University, Western Nevada JC, Mt. Hood CC, Lane CC, and many more.
