October 10th, 2011 - PBC 2012 Updates and Training Information

Portland Baseball Club is your home for all baseball training needs. We have private lessons and small group lesson opening 7 days a week as well as upcoming camps and classes. Our next set of small group classes start October 15th. Be sure and check our training page for updates and upcoming programs.

We have also updated our 2012 18U page with new roster moves, alumni section, and much more. Be sure and check it out to stay up to date with PBC.

January 12th, 2010 - PBC Small Group Training to Get Ready for HS Baseball Season

Portland Baseball Club is offering high school small group training just in time to get prepared for high school baseball season. These sessions last for 6 consecutive weeks beginning the week of January 17th at the cost of $150. There are 6 separate class offerings.

Hitting Group on Mondays at 6:00-7:00pm

Infield Group on Mondays at 7:00-8:00pm

Pitching Group on Wednesday at 7:00-8:00pm for ages 10-14

Pitching Group on Wednesdays at 8:00-9:00pm
Hitting Group on Saturdays at 11:00-12:00pm
Pitching Group on Saturday at 12:00-1:00pm

All classes are for high school players only unless otherwise specified. Cost is $150 per class for 6 weeks. Class size is limited to 6 players.

December 2nd, 2010 - PBC Hosting College Prospect Camp

Portland Baseball Club is hosting a college prospect camp on Wednesday December 22nd at our indoor training facility in Tigard. This event is open to high school juniors and seniors to perform in front of college coaches and professional scouts. The camp will consist of two sessions. Pitchers and catchers are from 5:00-6:30pm and position players are from 6:30-8:00pm.

Schools confirmed thus far include Campbellsville University, Clackamas CC, Clark CC, Oregon State, and members of the Portland Baseball Club coaching staff.

November 8th, 2010

Portland Baseball Club is proud to announce that 2009 and 2010 18U team member Kevin Taylor has signed to play at Arizona State University in 2012. Kevin is currently at Western Nevada JC.

PBC 14U team is holding an open tryout on Sunday November 14th from 10:00am-12:00pm at our new indoor training facility in Tigard. Open to all players ages 12-14 as of May 1st, 2011. Email Joe Taylor for more information.

November 1st, 2010

PBC opens a new indoor training facility in Tigard. The new facility features 5,000 sq ft of training space, 3 batting cages, short toss/tee stations, 4 portable pitching mounds, and a video training room. Come by and check out the new facility.

August 30th, 2010

Portland Baseball Club finishes a very impressive 52-13 2010 season with a second place finish at the 2010 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series. The loss in the championship game a very good Mobile, Alabama team was a bitter sweet end to the season. Players on the team developed and made themselves better everyday. We wish our 2010 players the best of luck as they finish their high school careers and move on to college programs.

July 25th, 2010

Portland Baseball Club wins 2010 Pacific Northwest Babe Ruth Regionals and advances to the Babe Ruth World Series. PBC defeated Mound Time of Oregon 14-3 in the semi-finals and then defeated Columbia Basin River Dogs of Washington 7-4 in the championship. Congratulations to the team.

July 20th, 2010

PBC opens up the 2010 Pacific Northwest Babe Ruth Regionals with a 22-2 win over the South Oregon representative Crater Lake. Tom Zarosinski pitched the 5 inning game while Conner George and Bo Cornish both hit home runs for PBC. Next up is Calgary Blues at 6:00pm on Wednesday. See you at the ballpark.

Zach Moeller pitches no hitter against the Eugene Challengers as PBC wins 11-0. Zach faced 18 batters in the 5 inning no hitter. He struck out 3.

July 5th, 2010

Portland Baseball Club wins the 2010 Curt Daniels Invitational with a 10-7 win over Salem Withnell Dodgers. PBC finished 6-0 in the tournament that featured wins over Taylor Baseball Club, Rips Brewers, Federal Way Buzz, Vancouver Cardinals, and Salem Withnell Dodgers twice. Tom Zarosinski was named the Defensive Player of the Tournament and Connor George was named the Offensive Player of the Tournament.

After a Babe Ruth doubleheader and a single game against the Eugene Challengers, PBC will host the 2010 Portland Baseball Club Invitational from July 8-11 at Clackamas CC. Come out and support the team.

June 28th, 2010

Coming off a 4th place finish in the Post 9 Classic, PBC 18U enters the Curt Daniels Invitational. The Curt Daniels is one of the Northwest's elite tournaments attracting the best teams from Washington and Oregon.

The 2010 Portland Baseball Club 18U season is set to begin on Sunday May 30th. We are looking forward to another great season. Good luck to all of our players in the state playoffs.

Tom Zarosinksi and Ben Wetzler have been named to the pre season Collegiate Baseball All American team. Both players pitch and will play at Oregon State University. Congratulations.

Spencer Maxey is the newest addition to the 2010 PBC 18U team. Spencer attends Aloha HS and is a middle infielder and pitcher.

Ryan Degner has signed to play at Mt. Hood Community College. Ryan is an outfielder.
Zack Reser has verballed to play at Oregon State University. Zach is a pitcher and first baseman.

Congratulations to Jacob Wark and Zack Reser who have been selected to play in the 2010 Under Armor All American game.

Ben Wetlzer has been named to the pre season Collegiate Baseball All American team. He is listed as a utility player. Ben pitches and plays outfield and has verballed to Oregon State University.

Brad Neffendorf is named the head coach of the 2010 Portland Baseball Club 18U team. Brad is currently the head coach at Aloha HS and an associate scout with the Florida Marlins. Brad's previous summer travel team coaching experience includes leading the 2008 NW Star Academy team to the Senior Babe Ruth World Series Championship in Newark, Ohio.

The 2010 assistant coaches are Mick Ellett - Clackamas CC Pitching Coach, Nic Chapin - Mt. Hood CC Assistant Coach, and Will Brendza - former Division 1 standout.
