Portland Baseball Club 14U Team News

Portland Baseball Club 14U completed their second tournament of the year going 2-2 in the Jeff Fazio Memorial Tournament hosted by Triple Play Baseball Club in Tacoma, WA. PBC defeated the host team Triple Play 6-5 with a great 5 run 7th inning and the Destroyers 2-1 with a run in the 6th inning. Karsen Lindell came in and got the save retiring the side in both game. PBC dropped the first game of tournament 8-3 to Mercer Island after surrendering an 8 run 5th inning and lost to Cap City Halos 8-0. Next up is the Aloha Baseball Classic May 22nd and 23rd. All games are played at Aloha HS.

April 12th, 2010

PBC played in our first games and first tournament of the 2010 season this past weekend in Redmond. We went 1-3 in the tourney, but saw great improvement from the team. We are proud of how our players continued to compete and learn from their mistakes. It was a great way to start the season and a team building weekend.

April 2nd, 2010

Our first games of the year have been rained out. We are rescheduling our DH with Barlow to a single game on Wednesday April 7th at 5:30pm at West Orient MS. We will have team practice on Saturday from 10-12pm.

The 2010 PBC 14U team schedule is almost complete. We have some open dates left to play as well as space in both of our invitational tournaments. Contact Joe Taylor to schedule.

December 28th, 2009

We'd like to welcome two new members to our 14U team: Trent Pihas and Nate McGill. Trent is an infielder, pitcher from West Linn. Nate is an outfielder from West Linn. We are excited about their participation on our 2010 14U team.

December 4th, 2009

The PBC 14U team roster is just about finished. We have one spot left on the team and we are looking specifically for pitching and outfielder. Contact head coach Joe Taylor for a private tryout.

The 2010 team is hard at work getting ready for the season. Our weekly practices are intense and the players are really responding to the instruction. The season will be here before you know it. Will you be ready?

The Portland Baseball Club 14U team will be holding another tryout on Saturday November 21st from 2:00-4:00pm at our indoor training facility. We look forward to seeing you there.

We still have roster spots available. We are currently conducting private tryouts for any interested players. We will also hold another open tryout on Saturday October 17th from 5:00-7:00pm.

The 2010 Portland Baseball Club 14U team is now forming. We have a core group of returning players and are looking for you to fill the holes. We have two different opportunities for you to tryout.

We will host an open tryout on Saturday September 19th from 5:00-7:30pm at the Portland Baseball Club Indoor Facility in SE Portland. Players will be put through a workout including hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and speed and quickness testing. There is no need to RSVP for this and please pass the word along to any potential players.

If you cannot make our open tryout, we are available for private workouts. Scheduling is flexible and available Monday-Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Contact Joe to set up a time.
